About Me

Here's an image I took in Banff on my vacation in 2023
Who I Am
Hello! I'm a third-year student studying CS at the University of Guelph. I was born in Toronto, Canada. My interest in computers started in 9th grade when I wanted to build my first computer. I had a limited budget, so I bought an office computer with a i7-2600K at the time, and I upgraded the GPU to an RX 580. I had to swap out the PSU in it as well.
Afterwards, I didn't like how it looked so I sold the computer and realized I had made a decent profit, compared to what I bought the computer and its components for. Over time, I learned more about desktops, laptops, and their peripherals on the used market. I kept buying computers, and I would strategically upgrade or modify them to maximize profit, and then resell them.
My Goal
I'm in the process of building this website which is supposed to serve two purposes:
I want to allow users to use this website as a memory bank and a trophy case, saving the computers they've interacted with over the years. Secondly, I want it to help monitor expenses and profits related to those machines.
In the future, I wish to include prices from sites like Kijiji and Facebook Marketplace but it would be hard to implement as they don't have an official API.
Technology Used
This website was built using Django.
